The product

One platform for the entire arc of a session.

Most therapy software touches one slice — scheduling, or billing, or note-taking. Signal handles the whole arc, from the moment the phone rings to the moment the claim is paid.

01 — In the room

See every emotional shift, without breaking the alliance.

Signal listens to the session and surfaces affect change, regulation patterns, and crisis signals as they happen — quietly, on a sidebar you choose to glance at. No raw audio is stored. Diarization keeps each speaker separate so couples and family work get per-partner tracking.

  • Valence, arousal, regulation, and load — five dimensions, one timeline
  • Crisis flags fire in under 8 seconds end-to-end
  • Per-speaker emotion tracks for couples, family, and group formats

02 — After the session

A finished, signed note in eight minutes.

Stop ending your day with documentation. Pick a format, pick a modality, and Signal drafts a clinical note grounded in what was actually said and felt. You read it, edit anything you want, sign it. The medical-necessity language for insurance writes itself.

  • SOAP, DAP, BIRP, GIRP, PIRP, SIRP, PIE — plus your own template
  • 16 modalities: CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, Gottman, EFT, and more
  • PHQ-9 / GAD-7 outcomes auto-linked to medical-necessity wording

03 — At the front desk

Meet Amelia. She runs the practice while you do the work.

Amelia is your AI front desk: she answers the phone, replies on SMS, books the appointment, sends the intake forms, builds the insurance claim, watches for denials, and offers an open slot to the right person on the waitlist. She gets sharper every week from the outcomes she sees.

  • Web chat + SMS included; AI phone receptionist on Voice Amelia
  • Auto-builds claims, predicts denials, resolves rejections with learned rules
  • 6-factor waitlist matching when a slot opens — typically filled in minutes

Common questions

Answers, before you ask.

Anything else? Email hello@signalehr.com — a real human reads it.

What does Signal actually do that my current EHR doesn't?

Three things, in one product. Real-time clinical AI during the session — affect, regulation, crisis signals. AI documentation that produces a finished, signed note in roughly eight minutes. And Amelia, an AI front-desk agent that handles scheduling, billing, intake, and waitlists across web chat, SMS, and (with Voice Amelia) a real phone line.

How does pricing work?

$199 per practitioner per month, all-inclusive. That covers 100 hours per month of real-time emotion analysis and AI notes, Amelia for calendar/billing/client management on web and SMS, unlimited US and Canadian insurance claims, telehealth, and multi-clinic role-based access. Admins and receptionists are free — only practitioners are billed. Voice Amelia (AI phone receptionist) is +$99.99/month per clinic for one phone line; additional lines are $49.99. Overage past 100 hrs is $1.50/hr. 14-day free trial, no credit card.

Is Signal HIPAA and PIPEDA compliant?

Yes. AES-256 encryption in transit and at rest, zero raw audio storage (transcripts and embeddings only, with explicit consent), SOC 2-aligned infrastructure, signed BAAs, audit logging on every PHI access, and regional controls for HIPAA, PIPEDA, PHIPA, Law 25, HIA, PIPA, CMIA, and SHIELD.

Does Signal replace therapist judgment?

No. Signal is decision support. It surfaces patterns and drafts documentation; the clinician is the authority on every clinical decision and signs off on every note before it leaves the system.

Which clinical note formats are supported?

SOAP, DAP, GIRP, BIRP, PIRP, SIRP, PIE, plus your own custom template. Notes are tailored to your selected modality (16 supported, including CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, EFT, Gottman, Schema, Narrative, MI).

Can Signal handle couples and family work?

Yes. Per-speaker diarization gives you separate emotion tracks for each partner. Cycle detection surfaces pursue–withdraw, criticize–defend, and other relational patterns. Couples-specific note formats are included.

Does the insurance billing actually work for both US and Canada?

US: 837P electronic claims via Stedi to 3,400+ payers, real-time eligibility verification, ERA auto-posting. Canada: direct billing through TELUS eClaims for 29+ insurers with instant adjudication; insurance receipts generated for any insurer not on TELUS. Amelia learns payer-specific rules and gets sharper every claim.

Can I migrate from SimplePractice / Jane / TherapyNotes?

Yes. We import clients, appointments, and historical notes. Most practices are running parallel within a week and fully cut over inside 30 days. The 14-day trial is the full product — you can do most of the migration during it.

Try the EHR built for the work — not the billing department.

Fourteen days. Full product. No credit card. Migration help from a real human if you want it.
